FAQ's

What type of massage should I choose?

The best thing to do if you are unfamiliar with massage is to first read the menu of services and plan to arrive 5-10 minutes early for your first session. We will go over your intake form, and depending on how you are feeling that day, what physical issues you are experiencing, your stress level, etc, will help you determine if you need a relaxation massage, a deep tissue massage, or some combination of both. We can customize the massage for your needs.

What to expect?

You can change your mind when you get there depending on how you are feeling. It is also important that you communicate during the massage if you are feeling uncomfortable or would like more or less pressure. What should I wear? Do I have to be totally undressed? Can I get massage with my clothes on? You should wear whatever is most comfortable. Most sessions are typically performed undressed and covered by a sheet and blanket. One area of the body will be undraped at a time to preserve your comfort and modesty. If you are uncomfortable with being undressed, I am happy to work through your clothes using modified massage techniques. Also, if you want me to leave your hair alone, please tell me! I will do my best to preserve your 'do.

Where will my massage session take place?

Your massage or bodywork session will take place in a warm, comfortable, quiet room. Soft music may be played to help you relax. You will lie on a table especially designed for your comfort. This table can be heated, unless you do not prefer.

Will the massage oils used make me break-out?

We use very mild jojoba oils or cream with arnica, very plain. If you have sensitivity to certain types of oils or lotion please bring it to my attention.

How will I feel after the massage therapy treatment?

Fabulous!... No really.. .Most people feel very relaxed. Some experience freedom from long-term aches and pains developed from tension or repetitive activity. After an initial period of feeling slowed down, people often experience increased energy, heightened awareness, and greater productivity which can last for days. Since toxins are released from your soft tissues during a massage, it is recommended you drink plenty of water following your massage. Massage therapists sometimes recommend a hot Epsom salt bath that encourages the release of toxins that may have been stirred up from the massage treatment.

What forms of payment are accepted?

Cash, or Venmo.

How can I buy a gift certificate?

The quickest best way to buy a gift certificate outside of your appointment time is to text call or email (908) 797-2745 and we can take Venmo or PayPal and a hard copy can be shipped or an image texted or emailed to you. The gift of Health.
